North and South Korea trade shots for an hour.

Earlier today Nov. 23rd North Korea fired on an island, Yeonpyeong, near the disputed border. Supposedly they requested the South to stop its military actions, but after not complying they fired artillery rounds killing 2 marines and injuring 15 soldiers and 3 civilians. As a response the South fired missiles and sent out jets to bombard the North. No casualties have been reported from the North, but many say their could be a significant number. Both sides have warned of future attacks. What a start to Kim Jong Un's rule, recently appointed head of the North by his father Kim Jon Il. Is this his way of saying this won't be different now that he is in control? Lets hope not.

As Americans we are more likely to side with the South because of our past. However, we have to look at this with a view of neutrality.

We love the smell of a steak searing on a hot metal (probably iron, possibly something else). This iron above a device whose sole purpose is to pump gas, a gas that we have trapped in a tank in which we have altered the pressure.  It is rooted in American tradition. Name me a sitcom that does not feature the husband above a grill flipping burgers. This act of masculinity dates back to ancient times, the male hunters flaunted their kill.

What is strange is the meat is so coveted.
