Thoughts
We are not children of our parents, but of our grandparents. We have been force fed war movies that idolize that generation of grandparents. What we see of our parents is the hippy, peaceful, and therefore weaker. Like baldness our respect skips a generation. They were toughened by the depression and wars, while our fathers had everything and needed nothing. They have nothing to fight for and neither do we. So we do what we want as we aimlessly drift through life with no goals. We lack these goals because life isn't hard and when things are easy we lose interest.
